It was known that Egyptians had big families with many children so it became a common perception that they might have lived in big open mansions but, that was not the case. The bathing part comprised of the person standing on an elevated chunk of stone and the servant pouring water over the person. Water was one of the gems for the Egyptians so they utilized it wisely. The water used for bathing too was saved for gardening.

The toilets had timber seats buttressed by bricks which consisted of a vessel chock-full of sand beneath.
